With over 16 million confirmed cases of COVID-19 worldwide and many countries facing a resurgence of reported cases, challenges and circumstances remain vary from country to country. While the majority of sources indicate that remittance flows are decreasing, certain news outlets are also reporting that in few corridors migrants' total remittances have increased over the last months.

These specific cases seem to indicate that migrants are using their savings to support their families in these times of crisis and, in some instances, also to prepare for their return home due to unemployment circumstances faced in countries of destination.
